Coffee farmers in Costa Rica cultivate the temperate slopes of the countries mountain ranges. The climatic conditions are changing, with consequences in the location and range of suitable cropping areas, the incidence of diseases and variability of production. In the PAN-CAFÉ project, CLIMTAG is extended to Costa Rica, generating country-validated climate data and coffee suitability maps, providing climate insights that feed an AI-powered agri-advisory tool tailored to coffee farmers’ needs.
