In 2020 the CLIMTAGTM Africa prototype was developed, funded by Copernicus and empowered by ECMWF. The funding enabled the realisation of the CLIMTAGTM platform for three pilot countries, i.e. Malawi, Mozambique and Zambia. The prototype demonstrated the value of the wealth of climate data available in the Copernicus Climate Data Store, embedded within the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). Within CLIMTAGTM, the raw C3S climate data were translated into operational agro-climate indicators.
